Myself and the good lady are risking the car's hubcaps this Saturday, and would appreciate recommendations on parking, pubs, self-defence, etc in the Anfield area. Any ideas ? I've checked out the football ground guide on t'internet, so if you've got anything to add, please speak up. Cheers.

I've always parked on Utting Avenue and had no problems there as long as you get there early enough. Having said that, my Everton season ticket holder mate had his car broken into on that road so be careful. There is a school car park which you can get on for £4 on Utting Avenue too and it's safe and fairly quick to get home.
Either way, it's only a 5 minute walk (unless it's foggy ;D).

Clichy, Eboue and Adebayor are back in the squad.
Get in!

Cheers for that mate, I'll give it a go. I'll send Vic first, as a human shield - it's only fair.

Hope the info was helpful for you mate.
Big shout out to the away support yesterday. You deserved better having been louder than the quiet Anfield crowd all game.
I was loving the "6-3, We're gonna win 6-3" and the "Anfield Library" chants!
Just a shame that the team didn't bloody turn up. Hleb was a disgrace. Kept giving the ball away and didn't do anything with it. He should have been subbed off and not Diaby. Wenger had an absolute mare with the team selection. Why play a central midfielder at left wing when you've got 2 wingers in Freddie and Rosicky on the bench?!
Bit worrying that we had our first choice back four out there yesterday and got torn apart by Peter Crouch. The only ones that can emerge with any credit are Diaby and Adebayor. Show some bloody pride in wearing the shirt. Rant over.
